P&C News

Gympie West P&C held their first meeting for the year on Tuesday 11 February. Members discussed PBL Rewards, Colour Run and Swimming Lessons.

Swimming Lessons
The P&C are very proud to announce that all Gympie West Students from Years 1 to 6 will be participating in swimming lessons this year. Previously only Years 2, 4 and 6 students have participated.

The P&C, together with a generous grant of $4000 from the Gympie Bendigo Bank, have donated $10,000 to the school towards the cost of the lessons so that swimming will be at no cost to families this year.

Colour Run
Colour Run will be held on the afternoon of Thursday 3 April. As this is our main fundraiser for the year, the P&C is encouraging all students to raise a minimum of $10 each to help the P&C with their fundraising for new water bubblers for our school. We have lots of prizes, rewards and surprises for the students this year to encourage everyone to get involved and most importantly HAVE FUN! You can create your child’s cybersafe, online fundraising profile page by simply going to www.myprofilepage.com.au and click on the Register Now button.

P&C Surveys & Volunteer Forms
It is great to see that some families have returned their P&C survey & volunteer forms to the school. We would appreciate as many back as possible. This gives us an idea of what our families like to support and provides us with ideas for new and future fundraisers. But most importantly, it lets us know which parents can help at our events and fundraisers. Thank you to those who have said they can help with Colour Run and Mother’s Day fundraisers - we will be in contact with you soon.

P&C Annual General Meeting and General Meeting
Our AGM will be held on Tuesday 11 March at 5pm followed by our General Meeting. This year we have seen several members move on as their children have moved to high school. We would love to see some fresh faces come and join us!
