Mayala has had a wonderful start to Prep! Mayala always starts every day with a smile and ready to learn. She is eager to join in all her learning activities and tries her best. Mayala loves to share her ideas and thoughts with the class. She is a kind and thoughtful classmate and is a great friend to others. She helps everyone around her. Well done Mayala! |
| Year 1 | Congratulations to Otis for being our Aussie of the Month. Otis is a kind, thoughtful and hardworking member of our class. He is a good friend to his classmates and enjoys joining in with all activities and helping others. Otis can always be relied upon to contribute to classroom learning and helps to make 1S a great place to be. It is lovely to see Otis each morning. His thoughtful manner, fantastic learning habits and happy smile help to brighten up our day. Otis is an excellent role model for all students and we are very proud of him. Well done, Otis. |
| Year 2 | Damien is a wonderful 2A friend. He has had a fantastic start to Year 2. Damien is polite and respectful to his teachers and classmates and consistently follows the school rules. He arrives at school each day with a smile on his face, ready to learn. Damien is a trusted student and is a role model in our classroom. He demonstrates kindness to others and enjoys a joke. Congratulations to Damien on being the first Aussie of the Month for 2025. Keep being amazing! |
| Year 3 | Clara has a happy and positive attitude towards all school activities. She is a keen and organised learner and is a role model within the classroom. Clara works hard with all tasks, applies herself well to learning opportunities and strives to always do her best. She takes pride in her work, follows all instructions and can be relied upon to work independently. Congratulations Clara on starting Year 3 with such an impressive attitude and being a wonderful example of an Aussie of the Month. |
| Year 4 | Dylan is a well-respected, enthusiastic member of 4RD, who participates strongly in all lessons and most importantly tries his very best in all situations. He should feel very proud of how he has settled into the routines and expectations of being in 4RD. It is fantastic to see Dylan thriving in his new classroom environment. Dylan uses his initiative and makes decisions that positively impact his learning and the learning of others. Congratulations Dylan on an incredible start to 2025. Thanks, for being a terrific member of our class and for showing your classmates what is expected of a Year 4 student. You certainly are a safe, respectful learner! |
| Year 5 | Izaak is a polite, kind and helpful student who always sets a good example for others. He comes to school with a cheerful attitude and a smile on his face. Izaak is a caring friend to his peers. He is a quiet and efficient worker who works to the best of his ability in all subjects. Izaak is always keen to give anything a go and tackles all challenges. He consistently demonstrates respect to staff and students and sets a wonderful example for his peers. Keep up the amazing work Izaak! |
| Year 6 | Abigail is an outstanding Year 6 student. She always gives 100% effort to all classroom learning activities. Abigail strives to produce her best work, she is an active listener and regularly puts her hand up to answer questions and offer her ideas. In the playground, she is kind and considerate to fellow students. Abigail is an excellent role model for her peers. |
| Principal | William is a calm and mature Year 6 student who has grown in confidence. William always gives 100% effort to all learning tasks – no matter how easy or hard he finds them. He is highly regarded by all staff and students as he always treats school members respectfully. William has taken on his responsibility as a leader of Gympie West State School and epitomises the values and attributes of a Westie Bestie at all times. He often has kind words for his peers.
