Aussie of the Month - September
Congratulations to our amazing Aussie of the Month students who were presented with their special awards on parade.
A fantastic effort by our students who should be very proud of the contribution they are making.
| Prep | Kaylee is a quiet achiever who has come leaps and bounds this year in Prep. She always tries her very best to complete tasks, even when faced with challenges. Kaylee consistently follows the classroom routines and behaviour expectations. She is an active participant in all learning discussions. Kaylee is a kind friend to her peers and will always be seen helping them out and making sure they are okay. She also likes to help her teachers in the classroom without being asked. Kaylee’s positive attitude and warm smile brightens up the classroom. That is why you are deserving of our Aussie of the Month. I am so proud of your achievements so far Kaylee, keep on reaching those goals. |
| Year 1 | Alyana is a kind-hearted and helpful student who always goes above and beyond to be a caring friend and supportive classmate. She is reliable and respectful to both staff and students, and consistently gives her very best effort in all areas of her learning. Alyana approaches challenges with a positive attitude and determination, showing great resilience and enthusiasm. She contributes to making our classroom a beautiful place to learn through her thoughtfulness, kindness, and commitment to helping others. Congratulations on being Aussie of the Month, Alyana - keep shining. |
| Year 2 | Regan is a quiet achiever who consistently demonstrates excellent behaviour both in and out of the classroom. He always gives his best effort and approaches every task with determination and a positive attitude. He never gives up, even when faced with a difficult task, and he is a wonderful role model for his peers. Regan is a kind and caring individual who follows school expectations and treats others with respect and kindness. Through persistence, empathy, and a willingness to try new things, Regan gives every learning activity his best effort and makes a valued contribution to the West State School community. Regan is a most deserving recipient of the Aussie of the Month award. |
| Year 3 | Lavinya has a consistently positive attitude towards all school activities and is a role model to her peers. She is a quiet and considerate student who has impeccable manners towards all staff and peers. Lavinya works hard with all tasks and consistently gives 110% effort. Her work is always well presented and she takes pride in her learning. Lavinya works well with others, is a kind and enthusiastic classmate and is well respected by all. Lavinya is a perfect example of an Aussie of the Month at Gympie West State School. |
| Year 4 | Violetta is a well-respected, enthusiastic member of 4RD, who participates strongly in all lessons and most importantly tries her very best in all situations. She should feel very proud of how she can always be relied upon to contribute to classroom learning and helps to make 4RD a great place to be. Violetta works hard with all tasks, applies herself well to learning opportunities and strives to always do her best. She takes pride in her work, follows all instructions and can be relied upon to work independently. Violetta is an excellent role model for all students. We are very proud of her. Well done, Violetta. |
| Year 5 | This award is proudly presented to Chloe in recognition of her dedication to learning, consistent effort, and positive contribution to our classroom. Chloe approaches challenges with resilience, determination and a great sense of humour, always striving to achieve her personal best. Through her kindness, respect, leadership and a pinch of sass, Chloe is a role model to her peers and helps create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. |
| Year 6 | Tiberius is an outstanding student at Gympie West State School because of the way he treats everybody. It does not matter who the teacher is, his behaviour is exemplary. The kindness and acceptance he shows to all students makes him a great role model. He consistently works hard in class and takes advantage of any extra support that he receives. Gympie West State School is lucky to have Tiberius as a student. |
| Deputy Award |
Savannah is a shining light in the Gympie West Community. Her beaming personality and 'can-do' attitude is a breath of fresh air each day for her peers and teachers. She loves school and does her best to make it as enjoyable for others as it is for her - always up for a friendly chat and catch-up. She gives her best to all tasks - no matter how easy or difficult they seem. A true role model in our school and it’s hard to believe we only have 1 more term with her at Gympie West State School - she will be dearly missed! Well Done, Savanah, thank you for being you. |
